Binance and 4 other cryptocurrency exchanges announced the upcoming listing of Arbitrum token (ARB)
In anticipation of the new tokens being distributed, some exchanges have opened futures trading, and Arbitrum users have begun offering tokens they have not yet received in over-the-counter transactions
Binance and four other exchanges have announced the listing of the Arbitrum project's native token and the start of trading after the airdrop planned by the developers on March 23. On the largest cryptocurrency exchange, Arbitrum spot trades (ABR) will be available in pairs to bitcoin and Tether (USDT). In addition, the exchange will add a new token as a leveraged asset for the ARB / USDT margin pair within 48 hours after 8 p.m. on March 23.
The asset will also become available for trading on OKX, Bybit, Hotbit, and MEXC Global. Earlier the listing of ABR after its distribution was announced by the exchange Huobi.
On March 16, it became known that on the 23rd, the creators of Arbitrum will hand out ARB tokens to community members who have been using the network for the past year. A total of 10 billion ARB tokens will be issued. 11.62% will be given to protocol users and 1.13% to DAOs in the Arbitrum ecosystem. 42.78% will go to the treasury, with the remaining 44.47% going to investors and Offchain Labs employees.
In anticipation of the Arbitrum airdrop, some venues have opened derivatives markets based on the asset for traders, despite the fact that the announcement of the token distribution does not guarantee 100% success.
In the announcement, the exchange team warned that trading in the asset itself has not yet begun and the product presented on the exchange is "a highly speculative asset."
As of 4 p.m., ABR futures are trading at about $1.3 on BitMEX. On the Hotbit exchange, which launched trading of the IOU ARB (Arbitrumum) futures product paired to USDT on March 16, its price is hovering around $13.
On social media, users are also writing that Arbitrum users are selling tokens they will have to get in the course of the airdrop at $1 to $8 apiece in themed channels in Telegram and Discord during over-the-counter transactions (OTC).
