Fidelity Investment Company has launched a service for cryptocurrency trading
The company's retail clients will be able to trade bitcoin and Ethereum without commissions by opening an account

Fidelity has launched cryptocurrency trading for retail clients, the investment firm told some clients via email, The Block writes. Fidelity Crypto requires a brokerage account with the company to fund an account.

Users are offered commission-free bitcoin and Ethereum trading. Fidelity customers who open a cryptocurrency account should read and accept a number of provisions, including familiarizing themselves with the risks of investing in digital currencies.

The investment giant warned that the value of cryptocurrencies can change quickly and significantly. The company takes into account a 1% spread at each execution price.

In early April 2021, Fidelity Investments, one of the world's largest asset management companies, became a member of the Cryptocurrency Council (CCI), which will lobby in political circles and promote the interests of the crypto industry and related technologies. Other board members are investment firm Paradigm, payment service aggregator Square, and Coinbase, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the U.S.
