FTX Europe (FTX EU), the European division of the bankrupt exchange FTX, has launched a new website for its clients to withdraw funds from the platform, reported the Finance Magnats.

FTX Europe, acquired in 2021, is the group's European business that also has subsidiaries in Cyprus and the UAE. The platform began operations only last March, having received permission from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). In November, after the main exchange filed for bankruptcy, the European platform's license was suspended.

The new domain name ftxeurope.eu was approved by CySEC, the platform told reporters. FTX EU also clarified that the site will only be used to allow clients to apply for their funds in fiat currency, no other services or products will be offered on the page.

On February 21 FTX Japan, the Japanese division of FTX, resumed withdrawals for clients. The next day the platform reported that users withdrew over ¥6.6 billion in fiat money and cryptocurrency (about $50 million) in a day.
