After a Mining Rig Found in a COVID-19 Quarantine Zone in a Local Hospital
It came to light that a Russian doctor was conducting some illegal mining operation in a hospital meant for giving care to COVID victims. This questionable endeavour may cost him 2 years in jail now.
Ironically he was the head of the cyber-security department of the Hospital located in South Siberia.
He started the operation in the first quarter of 2021 and was using the hospital's local server for mining.
Mining is technically legal in Russia, but when it comes down to having your mining rig at a state facility or driving it from that facility's power, that's when you would be expecting a knock on a door.
