More than 30 fashion brands will participate in Decentral and's Metaverse Fashion Week
Decentraland's second annual Metaverse Fashion Week event takes place March 28-31

More than 30 global brands will participate in Metaverse Fashion Week (MVFW), March 28-31, according to WWD. This will be the second annual event organized by the Decentraland meta-universe. It will feature digital works from fashion houses Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, Coach, Adidas, DKNY, and other brands and designers.

Deceentraland is a blockchain-based virtual universe where users can purchase plots and create, use, and monetize digital content. The platform has an internal cryptocurrency, MANA, which is used to buy and sell assets within the universe. MANA has a market capitalization of $1.1 billion as of Feb. 28 with a daily trading volume of $99 million.

Decentraland producer Giovanna Casimiro said that this year's Fashion Week will also feature the Spatial and Over meta villages. Particular attention will be paid to the interaction between different virtual worlds, as well as the connection between NFT and fashion items and devices from real life.

The theme of the event is "The Legacy of the Future. Dolce & Gabbana will hold an exhibition of work submitted to the Future Reward digital design competition, Tommy Hilfiger will hold competitions on clothing design using artificial intelligence, and Adidas will show its first digital clothing collection for NFT owners from the brands Into the Metaverse collection and Decentraland users.

The event will also include a clothing and accessory design competition, with the winners being shown on a real runway using augmented reality technology in Milan. Miami Fashion Week, as a participant in the event, plans to host MVFW events and shows at its L'Atelier runway. Vueltta artists' group will pay tribute to the late Vivienne Westwood by creating a virtual installation in her honor.
