Tencent Cloud introduced new services for blockchain developers
The Chinese tech giant's cloud service announced its collaboration with blockchain projects Ankr, Avalanche, Scroll, and Sui and announced a new platform for Tencent Cloud Metaverse-in-a-Box

Tencent Cloud, the cloud service of Chinese tech giant Tencent, introduced new products for Web3 developers. On February 22, at the Tencent Cloud Web3 Build Day summit in Singapore, the company outlined its plan to help develop the Web3 ecosystem and announced partnerships with blockchain projects Ankr, Avalanche, Scroll, and Sui.

Web3 is a concept for the development of the next-generation Internet, which is based on the idea of decentralization. More and more decentralized applications (dApps), decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), and services that store and process data globally are emerging today. Web3 developers are raising millions of dollars to develop their projects, and corporations with global names have begun to incorporate Web3 technology into their systems.

Tencent Cloud is interested in supporting Web3 developers involved in security, storage, identity, software creation, and development tools, as well as data and analytics. The platform will offer them credits, marketing workshops, and promotional opportunities through the Tencent Cloud ecosystem and resources.

Top developers will also get priority to integrate products into the Tencent ecosystem and its partners.

With Web3 infrastructure provider Ankr, the company will develop a full set of API services that will be deployed on top of the Tencent Cloud infrastructure to connect games and social networks from the Web3 segment to the most popular blockchains.

Tencent Cloud also now has a fully synchronized full Avalanche blockchain node set up. The companies' collaboration will focus on providing Web3 developers with practical tools to improve their experience with this network, as well as exploring blockchain solutions for enterprise customers in traditional sectors.

The Tencent Cloud infrastructure has begun to be used by the Scroll blockchain project. The system processes Ethereum transactions outside the core network, resulting in higher throughput and lower costs than the core Ethereum network.

In addition, Tencent Cloud has launched Sui, a blockchain network optimized for high-performance gaming. The collaboration will provide developers with efficient cloud-based game development tools and dedicated support for optimizing gameplay on the network. Web3 game developers using the Tencent Cloud infrastructure can seamlessly run games on the Sui network, according to the announcement.

At the event, Tencent Cloud also unveiled its new Tencent Cloud Metaverse-in-a-Box platform. According to the Tencent team, it fully integrates Tencent Cloud's extensive infrastructure, products, and solutions, which can be widely applied to game development, media, entertainment content and other Web3 projects.

On February 21, it was announced that Ankr Protocol has also partnered with Microsoft. They will offer a new service to host blockchain nodes in Microsoft's Azure cloud service, which will allow Web3 projects and developers to remotely connect to blockchains.
