AMD released official Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 22.7.1 driver with RSR scaling technology support and a lot of new features AMD has released a new graphics driver package Software Adrenalin Edition 22.7.1.
The main feature of the new AMD Software Adrenalin Edition 22.7.1 graphics driver is the Radeon Super Resolution spatial scaling technology. It is based on the same algorithms as AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 1.0 (FSR) technology but is implemented on the graphics driver level. The purpose of RSR technology is to scale images from a lower resolution to a native screen resolution while maintaining a high level of detail, which has a positive impact on performance levels. The technology is supported by AMD Radeon 5000 and newer graphics cards in thousands of different games that can support exclusive full-screen mode.
AMD has also worked to speed up driver loading from the Radeon application. The entire driver package is no longer loaded, but only the items and files that need to be updated. This significantly saves the user time, as well as free space on the media where the update is loaded. The manufacturer also reports updates to the user interface of the Radeon application. In particular, the pop-up notifications have been redesigned. They are now more informative and give the user a clearer idea of what key features are enabled or disabled at each launch of the game.
AMD Link also introduces customizable hotkeys that allow gamers to use their devices to control gameplay. AMD Link is now available in the Microsoft Store and can be downloaded as a standalone app even on a non-AMD hardware-based device, allowing even more users to join the personal gaming cloud.
