The main advantage of Yam miner can be considered the fact that it is released in several versions adapted to different processor architectures. For example, for CPUs on the Ivybridge architecture, a version of yam-yvg1900-M7v-win64-ivy-bridge is offered. The program is also categorized according to the type of operating system. It supports Windows, Linux, MacOS and a few other less popular operating systems.

• HOW TO SET UP YAM MINER?

First you need to download the miner itself. It is available at the following link. There you choose the archive with the right architecture and the right type of operating system and find the debug file start.bat (it can have another name, but the extension will always be *.bat). Open it with notepad and start editing.

Copy and paste :

yam -config yam-xmr.cfg -c *number of cores* -M stratum+tcp://*your wallet number*:x@*pool address*:*port number*/xmr

You need to make some changes in this code, specifying the number of cores involved, the number of your wallet for the cryptocurrency you want to mine, the address of the pool through which you will be mining, and the port number.

After that you will just have to save the changes in the file and run it by double-clicking the left mouse button. I would like to note that many experts recommend using the operating system Linux for mining on Yam miner because it allows you to make more accurate settings of the process.
